Hermann Armenta

Hello! I’m Hermann, a bilingual/bicultural educator native to the Chihuahuan Desert. I am a certified Math/Physics teacher and lifelong learner with a profound inclination toward mathematics, nature, and art.

I earned a B.S. in Physics with the highest honors from the University of Texas - El Paso, where I also had my first experience of being an educator. What began as a side-gig teaching electro-magnetism labs and tutoring athletes, crystallized into a deep love of helping fellow learners understand the beauty and the utility of math and science. Helping students go from “This is so hard!” to “I got this!” became my calling.

Hugo Lerma

Hi! I am Hugo. I'm currently working as a high school science teacher, but I have taught many science subjects to individuals at all levels and from all walks of life.

While in college and Medical School, I tutored everything from chemistry, biology, and ecology to immunology and anatomy. I have always had a passion for sharing my love of science with others, that I discovered by accident while trying to explain atomic orbitals to a friend in high school chemistry. I’ve always wanted to help people, so I got a degree in Social Work from UT Austin then studied medicine at UTHSCSA School of Medicine. Neither of those things was for me, but in working with classmates and helping my patients understand their disease conditions, my passion for education became clear.

We have each gathered nearly a decade of experience teaching in classrooms in Texas and New York, 10+ years of tutoring experience, and experience creating curriculum for dozens of courses.

We would love to hear about your learning needs and help guide you to success in your mathematics and science education!
